Welcome!

Welcome to the Chicagoland Graveyard Rabbit blog! This new blog is for my membership in The Association of Graveyard Rabbits. What in the world is the Association of Graveyard Rabbits? It's a new group formed by Terry Thornton to promote "the historical importance of cemeteries, grave markers, and the family history to be learned from a study of burial customs, burying grounds, and tombstones."

It's quite an interesting prospect and I'm honored to have been invited to participate. This blog will focus on the Chicagoland-area, which is one of my bigger research areas (where I am from orginally). I've also created The Graveyard Rabbit of Bloomington-Normal, Illinois to cover the area in which I currently reside.

Julie,

Welcome to THE ASSOCIATION OF GRAVEYARD RABBITS as a Charter Member. I'm looking forward to your being the Chicagoland "graveyard rabbit" and know that as you explore and document some of those cemeteries, your work will be most helpful to researcher everywhere. Thank you for taking on this project and becoming a graveyard rabbit!
