Minnie
Zimmermann
Nov. 22 1904
Dec. 8 1906
Minnie is buried in Elmwood Park Cemetery in River Grove, Illinois (section 4).
I found this behind the graves of Ann and Henry Leppin, who are my great-granduncle and great-grandaunt. It's nearly on top of Ann's headstone, which leads me to believe there is some sort of relation between Minnie and Ann. So far, I've not been able to make the connection.

Elyse at The Graveyard Rabbit of Eastern Tennessee posted an article about volunteering during the holiday season. She lists some great ideas for doing volunteer work with a cemetery twist.
Although I am very busy these days (I'm in full research mode and am trying to put some things together to send to a family member), I will find some time to add my finds to the Find-A-Grave database.
I encourage you to read her article.

This is one of many benches I found on my Chicago cemetery trip back in October.

The Chicagoland Graveyard Rabbit covers a pretty wide area, and I certainly can't cover everything. So I'd like to incorporate a "guest column" feature here on the blog.
If any other rabbits (or even non-rabbits) want to submit related articles, please send them to genblogjulie@gmail.com.
